Humble beginnings in small-town Alberta.

We started in Holden Alberta, and it’s still our home base. Being exposed to the prairie elements, at times even isolated – has shaped Sandstorm from the start. Here in Alberta, our weather can turn sideways in an instant – and building here means being prepared for anything. We’ve weathered this industry for over 20 years, and we’re still getting stronger.

Jake Hofer – Owner and Operator

Jake is the face and founder of Sandstorm Construction. He prefers a phone call over an email any day, and never dances around an issue. His philosophy, combined with years in the industry makes him the perfect one at the helm. There’s no place he would rather be. To Jake, building anything is like building a relationship of trust – it takes a long time to craft and only a second to break. He’s honest and true, through and through.
